“The subconscious realm is a scary place to be aware of…if you visit others there for too long, you may end up being hurt. You feel where their feelings and mind still remain…do they even know where their feelings and mind are…how much awareness do they actually possess? Many cognitive neuroscientists believe that something like 90-95% of our actions have roots in our subconscious. Human beings are essentially living their lives in an involuntary or reactionary state. No one is aware…the lack of awareness leads to everyone’s subconscious aspects pouring out and saturating and affecting everyone around them. What if everyone had more awareness? What if they began to operate at a higher rate outside of the subconscious? Would they attempt to help themselves and others in a positive way? Or…would they seek out personal gain and negatively use others perceived weaknesses against them to hurt them and to command control over them and the situation. Energetic Inequality depicts the imbalances of the energetic realm…the imbalances that occur in the subconscious realm…it isn’t until we begin to learn and heal from where we come from and the injuries we’ve sustained, that we can actually live an existence where we love and assist others. Not damage and hurt others as a continuation of the hurtful ways we have been exposed to in this realm.”

How aware are you of your own behavior? That’s the surface level question this artwork poses. The deeper level question is, what traumas have you not processed, and how are they controlling you and harming others? It’s hard to look in the mirror and unearth your deepest darkness, but that’s exactly what it takes to start healing. We have to take accountability or agree to live alone with only our demons knowing the “real us”. Yes, bad things happen to us all…but how we grow from those things is up to us. Will you go on to hurt others because you’ve been hurt? Or, will you rise above, heal, and see yourself as a victor instead of a victim? Or…maybe you won’t even take a look inside.
